bryan knisley is a musician in st paul, mn. he left his day job in 2001 to build and operate north orbit recording studio, and to help fellow musicians and engineers build their own studios and rooms. he has since designed, built or assisted with many commercial, project and home studios as well as sound controlled rehearsal spaces.

in 2006, he started the company modtrap with a few other fellow musicians and engineers.
